Another ANtler and Padouk pen, normal sized slimline. Using u[p all the little bits of antler by stacking them up with wood. Time consuming and often cracking but I like how it came out.

I still haven't had a chance to turn the antler I stabilized with plexiglass. Hope it works!

I stabilized the antler (which I started cutting last night) because the marrow will collect the dust and whatnot from the sanding process and that discolors it. On this pen, there are a few places where you can tell the red saw dust from the padouk wood is in the tiny holes in the marrow of the antler. Sealing it with CA just didn't really do the trick.

When the antler is submerged in the stabilizing solution it releases holes under the vacum just like wood does and, when you cut it, it's extremely hard. I'm really anticipating a cool piece from this material.
