aluminum - renaissance wax or CA

For those of you that do alot of segmenting or turning solid aluminum, do you usually try to coat it with CA or a similar finish, renaissance wax, just leave it unfinished?

If you're doing Alu and wood, people typically finish as they would with just wood. If it's JUST Alu, I'd say leave it as is. Problem is, if you try for a high gloss, the metal will oxidize almost immediately and dull the shine. Then I'd say that ren wax would help prohibit that a bit, but not 100%.

leave it unfinished and when it dulls use metal pollish , just up keep on metal pens . same with alot of bullet pens , can be powder coated
