I was able to turn a couple more pens which was nice since I have been having orders starting to come in a few at a time. Both kits are from Woodturningz. The swirl blank come from them also. The guy who ordered the casing pen is a gun enthusiast and wanted wood on the upper barrel instead of antler. He just specified a light colored wood so I used some splated Hackberry. . . . I know, I need a new camera!!

They are easy. I use a .308 casing, drill the primer end for a 7mm tube. I size one end of the tube by guling some scrap wood on it and then turn to fit the slug end of the casing. After that is just a matter of assembly.
