Ffirst time I decided on such a construction. A lot of problems arose during the works, luckily they succeeded.
Ebony and brass. Kitless.

You got a nice mirror finish on the brass. . I also like the design with matching diameters for the cap and body !!

Did you use any tubes internally to support the ebony (or is it actually ebonite ?) ?

Its wood - ebony. Inside are small tubes, but to about half of body or cap. It seems unnecessary to me. The wood is about 2mm thick.
Gloss on brass is a long time with sandpaper and polishing paste and very dirty fingers.

Very classy. I've got a similar design (blue celluloid and brass) but I like yours better :) . I like the section threaded insert; I have to go look at my version, I think I just put the section threads directly into the celluloid. I'm going to have to steal this design.
