General information

Mulberry is a berry tree that grows wild in the upper Midwest in North America. It is often found in fence rows or growing up through an established evergreen tree as it is propagated by birds who have eaten the berry and then drop the seeds in their feces.

There are at least two subspecies of mulberry, yellow and red. Both are distinguished by a yellow wood.
