This will be a short article on how to make a brass tubing cutter.  Either a power tool like a table saw or a bandsaw, or even a hand hacksaw can be used to cut brass tubing.

You will need a piece of square blank stock that is at least twice as wide as the tubing to be cut and about 3" (75mm) long.  A piece of square stock works well for larger tubes.


As shown, you will need to create two saw kerfs. 


Here you can see that the hole is toward the bottom of the stock and closer to the lengthwise saw kerf.
