Pecan

General Information

Pecan is one of the largest species of hickory. It grows in the south eastern and southern United States. It is cultivated for its edible nut, but still grows in the wild as far north as Iowa and Indiana.

The wood is a medium brown wood with a medium grain. Pecan pen blanks may be available with burls or with spalt.
