Birdseye

A condition where tiny knots or swirls are present in the wood. It is typically associated with sugar maple from the northern United States and southern Canada, but the condition can occur in other woods. Birdseye is desirable because it adds interest to an otherwise plan grained wood. It is expensive because it occurs somewhat rarely.
