    Curly Cedar?

I've turned some cedar pens from smaller cedar trees.. and they've been a nice, straight-grained and a pale red color. But this one was from a giant, old cedar (on the property of my old high school) and I had no clue cedar could have so much figure. Is there such a thing as curly cedar...

    Cedar Bowtie

So my wife had a girls night, which allowed me to head to the shop and turn out a new pen. It is a chrome bowtie style with cedar blanks used. 6 layers of CA used to finish with a Wax buff after. Thanks for looking! Comments welcome :)

    Missions Raffle Donation

So, my church was having a missions concert to raise funds for all of our missions (trip to Kenya, trip to Nigeria, local missions as well), and they were advertising there was going to be a raffle/silent auction as well. I decided to offer a few pens for the pot. I had some spare cedar that was...

    Maple Burl Humidor

This is the third humidor that I have made. The box is made out of birch ply and covered in maple burl veneer. It is lined with Spanish cedar. The finish is 15 coats of wipe on glossy poly sanded between the coats. As far as a humidor it is excellent. The seal is perfect. I have since added a...
