The Ci1 easy rougher and the Hunter tools are not the same tool. I have both and one can't be used in place of the other...in my opinion. the Ci1 is a roughing tool and can really hog out the material but isn't a finishing tool. The Hunter tools, and others like it, are more of a tool for finishing cuts...at least the smaller diameter ones are. But, interestingly enough, I just received an email from CSUSA introducing the Ci0 finishing tool which uses the same cutting disk as the Hunter tool and the others like it on the shelves.
Do a good turn daily!

Has anyone did a comparison between the Ci1 & the Hunter tools?
Thanks

I use a Ci1 almost all of the time now. I just made a couple of pens two days ago and the only other thing I used besides the Ci1 was sandpaper. It works really well. I love it. It is much easier for me to use than my roughing gouges. Although, I need to use them some just so I will remember how to.
