where to begin...no, really, where to begin

Hello all, I am very interested in pen turning and was wondering if there were any local groups (Austin) that i could get guidence from?

Welcome Larry. The Woodcraft has pen turning classes you can attend. We usually have a get together around fall at Mesquitemans place in San Marcos. We should be having one soon.....

Welcome to the IAP from Connecticut! You can learn a bunch here. Start with the library, there's a ton of info there.

I would be delighted to give you some hands on lessons at my shop in San Marcos if you are willing to make the drive. No cost of course and would need to be on the weekend
