I'm thinking of getting a few items from timber bits and was wondering if anyone has had issues with certain woods being imported from them?

I haven't bought wood from them but advise you to have the order sent by Aussie post. If it is sent by TNT :airplane: you will get a brokerage and tax bill 
a few weeks later and their fees are stiff compared to Canada customs. US orders have a much higher threshold before import taxes are applied.
I have in the past bought wood from George (robutacion) a few times including a 20 kilo order of Olive and they were not dinged by the government. The wood will come through as long as there are no bugs or bark and the Aussie sellers know that.
