IAP Collection, Curator
The next Ohio IAP Chapter meeting will be October 21, 2017 at Hartville Hardware. We will be meeting in the "Mill Room;" ground floor, NE corner of the lumberyard.
It will start at 1:00 PM with a display of the IAP Pen Collection and a brief overview for those interested. Demos will start about 1:30-1:45.
For those interested - With the display of the IAP Collection, there will be a contest for a pen to be added to the Collection. This was discussed at the last meeting. I will conduct the contest, and will not be participating. Please bring your pen in a brown bag with your name on the bag. Do not show your pen to anyone else. If there is not much interest at this meeting, a contest at a later date can certainly work also. I have given this same option to the Carolina/Piedmont; Georgia; and Minnesota Chapters - to donate a pen in the future.
I will also do two short demos:
Modified Slimlines (Custom centerband and thicker upper barrel).
Homemade slow speed drying rack for finishing. (About $10.00 to make). If there is interest, we can do a group buy on the materials.
