June Meeting in Ohio

We will meet at Hartville Hardware Saturday June 13, 2015 at 1:30 or so.

Theme for this meeting will be:
"Other things we turn"

So fire up that lathe and bring something neat that you made and no one has seen yet.
If you only turn pens, then bring some flat work, if you don't do that ether, just come and laugh at the stuff I bring.

Any volunteers for the demo?

tell all your friends and other people you know so we get a good turn out.

Not as much a demo as another "hands-on." (Like the stamp demo).

I can bring all the stuff to make your own "foil" steampunk blanks. After you have tried 1-2 you'll have 95% of the technique down!

I have a lot of the materials, and if everyone makes 5-10, we can put then into labeled baggies and this summer (now ), I can cast then in Alumilite; or you can take them home and do a cast yourself.

If so, give me a vote for the blank size and I'll bring a bunch.

If not, Bob can do magic tricks with my cats! :cat::cat::clown:arty::thunder::cat::cat:

I'll toss one out and then the membership can let us know which they want to see first and the other can go next meeting.

I am working up a "Corian" demo.
I do it different than most so I will go from glue up to finish

I'll vote for the Corian as I actually have a nice sized box of the square samples. And its a material I have not turned yet.

I'll also type out/bring some thoughts on the MPG.

I'm still on the "fence" about attending as the meeting butts heads with a joint meeting of the Buckeye Woodturners and the North Coast Woodturners that is being held at Doll Lumber in Southington, Ohio that day.
