The prime rib luncheon was a hit!

Charlie demo'ed the French polish technique and Dave showed us how to cast poly resin around tubes decorated with stamps and cigar bands (and showed us some COOL cast pens). I showed my way of drilling on the lathe, and we all shared challenges and solutions for various penturning issues.

Bob took a few pictures - maybe he'll share them.

Next meeting - 7/18/09 at 9:00 AM at Wood Werks. Chuck Kemp (President of the Central Ohio Woodturners) will demonstrate a Bic pen conversion. Bob will demo turning between centers. We are looking for another demonstration - anyone want to share their talents?

Rob, sorry you coludn't make it.:)

Thanks, Ron, for the use of your classroom, and Charlie for setting it up.
