Hi Jeff, thanks for accepting me to your association. I am brand new to a lathe and to pen turning. Hooked already. Absolutely self taught, with a little assistance from the University of YouTube. Went to Rockler in Orlando to buy some woodworking stuff and they asked me if I turned pens. Came home to Trinidad and saw plenty pens in a stationary store . Went back to Orlando and bought a mini lathe (Excelsior) and everything else needed. Since then sold the lathe and bought another one from Penn State. Looks like pen turning will be a good business as no one in Trinidad has ever done this before here. My first pens have "turned " out good but I am sure with my lathe and your brains I will get real good results. Best regards,Paul.

Welcome Paul.

Show us some of your work!

I'm sure you already do this but in case you haven't just yet - measure the fit and finish with calipers instead of trusting the bushings for sizing. Perfect fits every time.
