Just joined today, have been looking at pictures for afew weeks and really impressed by workmanship. I made slimline 15 yr.s ago, but got tired of the limit on what you could do. I have a problem, I just recieved a turners collet from Woodcraft and the front wobbles and I can't turn a pen round with it. When you look down in the front nut the the machineing is off center. Woodcraft says this is the way it should be. Has anyone had this same problem?

Hey .... welcome. I have the turners collett from WC and it works perfectly fine. Call WC back. If they say "No" ... tell them that's not an acceptable answer and ask to speak to his/her supervisor. If that person says "No" ... ask to speak to THEIR supervisor. Get my drift? Good luck.

Mine run stright up to the nut part. The nuts wobbles about one eigth inch. Inside you can see the milling right at the nose is off center. I maybe should go with Buell collet?Thanks

Welcome,Morris!
I had one of the WC chucks,first one had to
be returned,it had out of spec nut threads,
like the threads were almost stripped.
they exchanged it and the second one was ok but not great.
It could be the off center machining you are seeing
in the nut is the catch area for the collets to pop into;
this is a normal feature for ER style collet nuts.
Still doesn't mean it is okay otherwise,but could help
explain what you may be seeing.

Welcome to the IAP. I recommend returning the thing to WC and getting a Beall. Yes, it cost more, but it's accurately made.
