Hi I am David and am a new member to the association but have been turning pens as a hobby for a couple of years. I sell about as many as I give away or that my wife doesn't claim. I have done one casting and have plans to cast some feather blanks from some mallards and pheasant hides I got from some friends. Soon as I figure out how to post photos on here I will post some of my work and will appreciate any comments. I am pretty much self taught except for a shop class in 1979 where I used the lathe once. I have watched demonstrations at woodcraft and watchex videos online but nothin works like making sawdust. Some of my techniques may be wrong but they seem to work for me. I look forward to viewing everyone's work on here and reading the tips and tutorials.

Welcome, David!!

If techniques work for you, how can they be "wrong"??

Keep turning and your techniques evolve to be a little more effective, but who knows what is right and what is wrong??
