I am a new member here, but not new to turning. Been turning from age 14 to now 43. Looking around for unusual pen blanks and right now i am in need of some antler. I mostly make pens, yoyos, and on occasion the wine bottle stopper. I cater to an Artsy crowd so the more unusal the better. Well enough about me. Ill post some of my pens here later. Happy Turning!

welcome and have fun , i find the most unusual pen blanks come from right in your own back yard and the best as well .

after hurricane katrina here in south mississippi i had a tree i call scrub oak and was more than willing to give it to a friend for his fire place after it fell on our roof he had one request that i saw it down to 18 inch logs and pile it glad i agreed because i seen black lines through it and decided to look further by ripping into the wood with the chain saw and there it was some spalted oak begging to be made into many things .
so dont forget to let nature surprise some times
