Hi from just South of Atlanta. My name is Rick and I've been turning about 12 years now on a Delta Ironbed 1440. Did a lot of bowls, platters, boxes and such on it and have finally decided to get into pens and smaller turnings like bottle stoppers and the like. Got a Rikon 70-100 lathe to do them on and the shop is almost ready to go again. My shop also holds my homebrew brewery which turns out some of the best beer ever and I needed to separate the two a bit. Lots of furniture and equipment rearranging - but nearly done.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as we get going on the pens and just as sure there will be a fair number of face palms in the process.

Hello Neighbor.

Just bought my lathe in December and just cracked it open. I went to the WW show in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and made my first pen. I loved it. I am slowly compiling all the necessary toys needed to start turning.

Everyone gets a pen for Christmas!!
