I've been lurking for a couple months, thought it was time to join. The ideas and suggestions on here have been a huge help. I've played with wood working for years, just started wood turning a little over a year ago. I've enjoyed learning how to turn and experiment with various skills. Located about half way in between Chicago and Milwaukee. Already have the Feb '18 Chicagoland group meeting on my calendar. Anxious to meet and greet other turners at the meeting.

Jan,

You scared the heck out of me - the local club chapter meeting is Feb 17 (not the 18th). Hope to see you there, The meetings go for as long as we want to talk. I have had a lot of fun at the meetings. Also consider a few other clubs we have in Illinois. The Chicago Woodturners meet the second Tuesday of every month in Arlington Heights and Windy City meet a little farther away in Lisle on the third Tuesday of the month.
