Default Hi from Hampshire, England

Hello, I am totally new to wood turning having been given a lathe for my birthday on Saturday (Royal Wedding Day). I have managed to turn my first pen which has loads of character, ie itís a bit wonky, but it was great fun!

Welcome Sally, from Sydney, Australia.
Thank you for your Service.
Turn that special piece of Timber you have been keeping.
Enjoy it for its true beauty.
Why leave it for others to enjoy without you?

Welcome to the madness!
Worry not about wonky... just crack on!

Now that you've gotten started, practice and refine!

... and don't forget pictures... we LOVE pictures!!

Welcome to the IAP Sally, from Scotland!
