I am really new to this hobby. I went to my local Woodturners Guild to get some help in choosing and using my first lathe and have to say they could not have been more welcoming.
A quick look around this forum has opened my eyes to how complex and hopefully rewarding pen turning can be.
I am sure I will be popping up frequently with questions as I get started and one day I hope to be able to produce something that causes someone to say "That's nice...can you make me one?"
I retire to Whangamata at the end of this year (Google will be your friend here) and if there are any Kiwis in that area on this forum I'd love to touch base sometime
