New to all this. Just got a lathe last Friday but have dove right in!

I've run CNC lathes making hydraulic parts and aerospace parts for 20 years now. Oddly enough going back to the "old school" wood stuff is rather relaxing. I've only made a few pens in this last week and the guy that works on my machine on days saw a bullet pen I'd made and his only response was "I have to have one of those!"
Hopefully my photobucket link works. :/

Made this for a guy I've worked with off and on for 15 years who's retiring next week.

HAHA, I program and run a 7 axis mill turn machine. If I cheated it would look a lot more fancy than that. LOL. Can't get it to do finishes like that though :(
Would have turned that blank down in about 30 seconds though :D

Thanks everyone!!

Welcome from sunny Central Florida. Washington state is beautiful. The Quinalt forest is lovely. By the way tighten the screw in the bolt action. Occasionally they are loose.
