Hiya all,

I have recently taken up turning again, after about a 20 year break.

I am a FMR ET2/SS for those that know what that is. I spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy and served on board the USS Grayling and the USS Toledo, two fast attack submarines.

Woodworking in general has been a passion of mine for all of my life, and I have to admit that I love the instant gratification from turning.

I have come to enjoy turning pens, and have been turning pens for Freedom Pens, which is an organization that sends hand turned pens to the troops.

My son and I have been spending most weekends and days we have off on our lathes. We have a Jet 1014 mini and a Craftsman 12 x 36 and an old HF model that is 12x37, even though it doesn't have a tapered tail-stock it was a great learning lathe.

I have gotten into making my own Celtic Knot and doing some other Loop inlays, I'm not perfect at it, but I am getting better.
