Hello,

I'm an Army guy in a strange land - Quantico, Crossroads of the Marine Corps. I am new to turning (about 15 pens) and have a year's experience in general wood working, as in I made one dining table for my wife and I've been riding that success story for a little too long. Haha.

I really enjoy browsing the FB pen turning groups and seeing everyone's work. I have about 20-30 awesome blanks that I've purchased from people but have not made many pens from them, yet. I've attached a picture of my best looking ones. If they look cool it's because of the light box I made to go with it. That thing does wonders for pen photos. Anyway, looking forward to learning more and finding time to produce some beautiful writing tools. Happy to be here

You're not far from the Captial Area Woodturners meeting in Alexandria!
The next monthly meeting is this Saturday. A good bunch of turners, and a mess of pen turners too! Come by and have fun!
