Greetings
My name is Tim from Chichester NH
I have been "lurking" for a couple of weeks now and its time to say "Hi"
There is some great info here, and I am overwhelmed by how willing and helpfull penturners are in shareing their Knowledge.
I have been turning for 10 years or so and making pens for around 3.
Just getting into casting thanks to a tutorial I found here and waiting for my HF paint pot to arrive.
If anyone is intereste in checking out some of my work I have some photos posted on our farm website www.kellycornerfarm.com on a page labeled "tims woodworking" also listed on www.ETSY.com as "designsbytim"
Best Regards,
Tim Benjamin

Greetings from Vermont

Hi Tim,
You are not far from a bunch of pen turners. Check out the New England chapter. eric-eswindell is in Northwood which can't be far from you. we meet bimontly at woodcraft in Springfield Mass. Got friends in Chichester. Went to the motorcycle races in Loudon for years. Good to have you here.

Welcome Tim. You have a great deal of skill under your belt already. Join in the fun here and post some picts.

Below is a link to a pdf file that gives a general overview of tools, methods, pens and finishes used in pen turning. It needs a few minor revisions but is a great start. You already know most of it from your own experiences.

Also included is a link to a new post that gives some information that people wished they had known earlier in pen turning. Some good information by those that make pens.
