Hi there. I'm new to this whole pen turning thing. I had messed around with wood turning a bit when I was in school, and recently thought that it might be fun to get back into it in some way, since I remembered finding it relaxing, and I don't create anything tangible at my day job.

I took a beginner pen turning class at Rockler, and am in the process of acquiring and setting up a small shop in the corner of my small basement. I have bought a bunch of inexpensive blanks since I don't want to ruin expensive ones learning, a few kits, and just need to wait on my lathe to arrive, and to set it up before my first solo pen.

I've been lurking for a bit, so wanted to say hi before the questions start coming.
