I joined a few weeks ago and have learned a lot so far. I bought a craigslist lathe several months ago and have been turning a few pens and bottle stoppers at home. I also joined the local woodturners clubs and have turned a few hollow forms(with a lot of help) from some big leaf maple burl I brought back from Oregon. Hopefully, some day when I'm more advanced, I'll be able to contribute
to this site as well.

There are some very good turners in the Miami club, so you will be in good hands there. Make sure they hook you up with some Mahogany and NIP.

Enjoy the adventure.

I joined the Broward club also. In fact it was at their workshop that I turned the big leaf maple burls with a lot of help from Bobby.
