Hello, brand new to this. I have bought a few custom turned pens, and yesterday stumbled across a semi-local Woodcraft store that had a lot of supplies.

This is a very appealing hobby for me. I have a habit of:

- over researching things
- buying too many things but not enough to really get started
- not knowing what is the basic materials/tools needed
- trying to find the sweet spot - tools not so cheap that I will need to replace vs. buying more than I need.

Nothing new I suppose - but open to suggestions
