HI all, I am looking forward to getting started. I have my lathe, drill press and starter kit. I was missing the morse mandrel. I order one but I ordered a #1 but I need a #2. So the #1 is going back and the #2 are one their way. I am practicing with cut up 2x2. I can get it down to the size of a pen but I need to work on the finish. I look forward to showing some pens and hearing from others. Thanks.

Welcome, I'm in Lebanon, PA. When I was practicing finishing I used some old solid furniture parts (table legs, old maple headboard, etc) picked up from neighborhood bulk trash. Cut to size and it's perfect for practice.
