Hi everyone.
I've been meaning to join this site for ages, but never seemed to get the time.
I'm from Hampshire in the UK. I've dabbled in woodturning on and off your years, taught as a kid by my dad. Now in my forties, I find it a good way to chill out after a crap day at work.
I work in a very dull insurance office.....but it pays the bills.
I used to work in forestry/tree surgeryuntil a shoulder injury forced me into an office job. So returning to wood turning is my way of keeping in touch with something more practical. I mainly turn pens, but occasonally a bowl as well.
As well as wood turning, I am kept busy with my 2 teenage kids and keeping my 40 year old VW camper on the road. When it's too cold n wet to go out to the shed, I also do some pyrography.
