Fairly new to the hobby, I don't even have a lathe yet, turning on a drill press laid on its side. I focus on wood with a history. This was a piece of wood picked up by a colleague while in Capernaum Israel, as a gift for the wood, she will receive the first pen. Tried out my new blue 405 nm home 1watt laser with fairly good results I think.

Very nice pen. The shape of the blanks are a refreshing departure from the old straight sided pens. Good to score wood that has some sort of background to it. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to IAP !!!!

Did you make your "new blue 405 nm home 1 watt laser" ?

If so, I would appreciate more details, please .... like parts sourcing.
I was part of a team that produced a "homemade" pulsed Argon-ion laser many years ago.

Thanks for your military service.
