Hello All,

I am MSG Torben Gilbert. I am a old Armament Dawg 15y. I am retiring and I would like to take some old 50cal shells I have from a Unit gunnery and make them into pens for my troops. I am looking for a web site just to buy the parts to make about 250 pens. Nothing Fancy just that it works. Can anyone help me out.

Hi Torben !! . Welcome to IAP !!

There is actually a 50 Cal pen kit marketed by Penn State Industries.
There are two of those kits in fact ... one using a Parker refill and one using a Cross refill.

I would suggest that you take a look at their website and see what you can learn about making your pens.

Welcome from a fellow Virginian. I live in Providence Forge, which is about 35 miles West of you. I have not made pens from shells, but several of the people in our Richmond Woodturners Group have. We meet at the Woodcraft in Richmond every odd month at 6:30pm on Thursdays. Our next meeting is on the second Thursday in November. I may be able to get you some help sooner. Just let me know.
