My name is David Ferris and I am new to pen turning. I had the great opportunity to meet Curtis from TurnTex who actually took the time to sit down with me and give me some great tips and pointers. The pen turning world seems to be a close group of very nice people and I look forward to learning a great deal and sharing what I learn.

Welcome David, from next door in San Antonio.
We have an Alamo IAP Chapter in San Antonio and we meet the first Thur of the month at 630pm at Woodcraft. I have a sneaking suspicion that you know where that is.
Come join us at our next meeting. We average 10-15 penturners at each meeting.
We also have a Alamo Woodturners chapter of AAW that meets on the fourth Thur that meets at Woodcraft at 6:30. You are welcome to visit that meeting also.
Both meetings are an opportunity for learning and mentoring
Your time with Curtis was a great opportunity - he is a great turner and member of the IAP community.
