Hope you folks are having a good day, i having been turning pens for about 2 months now (that's as long as i have had a lathe) . I have made about 20 slimline pens and thanks to youtube and reading you guys in this and the pen turners forum the learning curve has been incredibly shortened. I have been building furniture and clocks etc for my house for years, all oak. I work in the canadian oilfields and the wood butchering is how i get away and stay sane in this here modern world (drill press, CNC or Table Saw running you can't hear a cell phone ring, Freedom for a bit). Again thanks for sharing the knowledge and expertise i have gleaned from your threads already and in the future.
