I am new to this forum, and actually I am pretty new to pen turning. I ordered my lathe on Black Friday last year, and after it came I had to wait a while to get help to carry it into the basement and set it up. I made my first pen late last winter. I've made many since then, but I still have a lot to learn. I am still experimenting with different tools and techniques, especially finishes. So far I've used most of the pens I've made as gifts, but I am toying with the idea of eventually selling pens. I joined this forum because looking in as an outsider it seemed like I could learn a lot here.
