Hi! I just found this forum and thought I'd say hello.
I've been turning stuff on the lathe since I was a kid, but have had some good gaps in the experience due to life and other stuff. I turned my first bowl back about 1978 or so. I primarily turn bowls, but will occasionally embarrass myself with a spindle turning.
A few weeks ago, I turned my first pen, which turned out pretty well. Compared to a bowl, or other form, the turning portion is the quickest part for me. I've turned a few more pens, and am looking forward to what I can learn here, and sharing what I can.
Since I know some threads are worthless without pics, hopefully this increases the value of this post. I turned this pen last week, my first acrylic.
