I am a new turner and relatively new to woodworking in general. My uncle got me started, he is a professional woodworker/artist. I always loved hanging out with him in his shop, but never got much past simple DIY projects myself. I am originally from North Branch, MN, so I don't get much shop time with my uncle anymore, but he passed down his old lathe to me this past Christmas. I'm hooked. I love all the great tips and inspiration on this forum, so I joined!

New Pen Turner from Seabrook (Houston) Texas

I am also a new pen turner from the greater Houston Texas area. I am really looking forward to taking my basic pen turning skills to another level.

Welcome Eric. This is definitely a great place to learn. I realized pretty quick that the YouTube videos that I watched on penturning, although excellent, just barely scratched the surface.
