Hello from New Zealand
I am a retired builder and after being struck with cancer, there was a need for a hobby to help me adjust to forced retirement. That has been easier than I had imagined and now have an excellent workshop and my days are spent doing wood craft. I have always looked at the craft of pen making and now decided to have a go.:)

Welcome! I hope you do well dealing with the what you face with cancer being a factor in your life. Woodworking in general, and pen turning in particular is a great direction to go. So enjoy it all! I am glad you are here...a great place to be.

Welcome from Canada! I find pen turning is a restorative hobby, partly because you can do it in bits & pieces. Do some work, take a break, get back to it.. and you have a lovely pen in almost no time. Intriguing blend of the technical and the artistic, and after you master the basics you can take the hobby in many different directions.
Enjoy!
