I forgot to include the pen photo. The pen is a Bethlehem Olive with a Sedona fountain kit. I took this with available light hand held at a 1/8th second.

While I can compliment you on a nice photograph, it leaves much to be desired as a picture featuring a pen. We here are interested in pens, not fancy vases or backgrounds. A plain background and the pen almost filling the frame with limited shadow or glare is a good pen photo. We all fall into the trap occasionally of getting clever with pen photos, but just following the KISS rule will help with critiques and compliments here.

Welcome, Bill. You can buy helmets at the Military Surplus store. [:D] I'm afraid those who admire the pen are being polite. Although a nice artistic photo, it is not possible to critique your pen from what you provide. Mark Ligget, who is quite decent for a Scotsman, [;)] gives you a great pen photo for which to aim.

You will find many of us direct and to the point, but we all mean well for the most part.
