Good morning all!
Jeff asked if I would say Hi, ....hi.
anyhow I've been turning pens for about a year now I'm a retired machinist and have a need to turn! I make bowls and other things out of wood as it is a fun and rewarding pastime that has taken over my life and saved my marriage by keeping me out of the wife's hair.
I'm finding pens to be very varied and interesting to do, this winter I will step out of my comfort zone and try to do a segmented bowl or two.
As I've look though this forum I see lots of very knowledgeable folks and I will be picking your brains in the future.

Oh should mention I live in the mountains of southern California and get to use lots of varied woods such as Oak, Olive, Avocado, Ironwood, not all grow locally but I know a guy!
