Hello all,

Just getting back into turning pens after a couple of year break, one issue I've always had is the quality of the transmission that comes with most kits. Is there a better one out there?

I've not experienced any problems so far with transmissions in pen kits so far, so I'm not sure what you're looking for.

Can you share some examples of problems you've had? Maybe someone of the knowlegable folks in here will have some helpful ideas for you.

Avoid kits from China

I've had great success with the Wall Street II transmissions from Woodcraft! The Mesa pen transmissions have not been as dependable!
