After 50+ years building RC model aircraft, leatherwork, chip carving and most recently wooden model shipbuilding I've decided I need a new hobby

Always been amazed at the creative designs of pens that I've seen at craft shows so I thought I'd give it a try. (Wish me luck)

Right now I'm gathering some of the equipment that I need for this and rearranging my shop somewhat.

Welcome to IAP! Your experience will go a long way in making pens.

50+ years in RC, sounds like you got started when they used escapements instead of servos. (Boy, it has been a long time since I used that word.)

Hi Ron; Welcome! I fly R/C planes during the summer and make pens during the winter. Flying season is winding down in Pennsylvania.

Flying season. What's that?
Sorry, couldn't resist living here in Florida
I remember those days up north when we would get our "All season patch"
Down here no one ventures out if it's below 50 degrees.

Yea Ron; But I'd have to fly to go (snow) skiing during the winter. The local ski area is just 30 minutes from my house. I build planes during the winter.
