Found this forum the other day while googling for blanks. Looks like a great resource, hope to frequent the place a bit.
I'm disabled/retired/whatever, had made pens as a hobby for a couple of years, all my friends and family had drawers full I'd given as gifts… decided to set up a web site and see if I could sell a few. Had more success than I'd expected! (But less than I'd hoped for, at least so far…) Put in 40 hours a week or so, so I guess pen (and other stuff) turning is my new full time job.
Wondering if anyone in North Texas has had any success at selling pens at craft fairs, flea markets, shows, expos… so far, print advertising aimed back at the web site has been the only effective thing I've found, and I would really like to unload some excess inventory that I think would sell "in person" a lot better than on the web. I probably can't attend such shows myself, but have friends who can run a table for me. Thanks!
