I love doing woodworking. I started on a lathe very young turned a baseball bat. Then took a woodshop class made a lamp. Last year I bought my own lathe it was used and needed work. It is called a Smithy super shop. It has been very hard to set up for pens but i've managed. I came across this site and thought it would give me some ideas. I don't plan on selling my pens I get more enjoyment giving them away. I feel if I make money it now is a job and not a hobby and people enjoy my work more. The only problem this is a expensive hobby. I would post pictures of the pens i've made ,but I am lacking computer skills to know how to.

G'Day Mark, and welcome to IAP.

You do what I do, I love giving my pens as gifts. To overcome the expense, you should consider selling some of your pens. That way it is not quite as expensive and you might find that you wont be out of pocket at all.

Dave.
