Here is my first attempt at making a knife handle. Though it isn't perfect (I can see the flaws) it did come out very nice. My niece now wants a full set in Holland.

Dude, that looks swanky as all getout. I have a damascus knife blank that needs handles, but I haven't quite felt up to the challenge yet. I DO NOT WANT to wreck it with a small screwup that I don't know how to fix. No on something that absurdly nice.

Thanks for the comments. I certainly had a fun time trying it out. I could have used the rivets to set the handles but opted not to. I cut out the blanks on the bandsaw and did the shaping n the belt sander and drum sander on the drill press. Then hand sanding with walnut oil followed by buffing to finish.

Not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.
