Better late than never. Displaced canadian sent me this pen for our swap. I hope he will chime in to explain what he did. It is a great looking pen. He really put a lot of time into this. He also sent me some great blanks. My daughters boyfriend has already claimed a couple.

I had a hard time getting my head around the steampunk style. After a few false starts an idea gelled. Kind of an early Doctor Who sonic screwdriver. The pen is stainless and maple burl with copper wire and a cast to kinda look like a flame out of the tips. This is my first postable pen. This was definitely a PITH that pushed me out of my usual comfort zone.

Here is my submission for mlconnely. It was very late but he received it finally.

I call it Core Breach. The red acrylic is the molten core coming through the copper containment plates. Nobody ever guessed that copper was not good at containing nuclear reactions and molten lava.
