The following is posted at the request of Larry Dubia (ldubia). Some members were disappointed that they missed the recent PITH Exchange. This will be an opportunity for those members to participate in a pen exchange. Larry will run the exchange. If needed, I can post the pairings here on the site.

REMEMBER: Do not sign up for this exchange unless you can meet all deadlines to deliver a pen to your partner. Also, do not sign up if the idea of international postal expenses are a problem.

I think Larry has a great idea and hope that it will provide members an opportunity to make international friends.

I am running a pen swap for Australia Day on http://www.woodworkforums.com/f206. I would like to extend this information to all the pen turners here in IAP. Everyone MUST register by 01/25 5PM so I can make the draw at that time (this is critical) We are hoping to register people from all over the world and all levels. If they want to register they can send me an email at larry@mysticwoodscreations.com. I will get them on the list. If they are not going to complete the swap they should NOT sign up.

OK guys, the 2010 Australia Day Pen Swap is open to all members of the Woodworking Australia's Woodwork Forum.

Like last year, it is an International affair, all we ask is for those people to join our forum to take part.

A link to the thread is here

Those who sign up can choose overseas (OS) or domestic (DOM) and I will try to pair you up with like minded members.

I am certainly enjoying the Australian camaraderie. There are some really nice people on this forum and just as sick and twisted as we are!

Larry, I see that BigShed has posted the information that one must join the Australian wood workers forum to participate in the pen exchange. The following is the instructions you sent me:

Everyone interested should go to woodworkers forum (http://www.woodworkforums.com/) to register as a member. Once they confirm their membership go to the left side of the page to a menu of forums. Down near the bottom of the list is *woodturning forums*, click on this. Then in the sub-forums (main page area) go to the next to last one again and click on *SWAP, BARTER, SUPPORT A WORTHY CAUSE & GROUP BUYS. * (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f206/)
This will take you to the next page which has a sticky at the top of the page for the 2010 Australia Day PEN SWAP! (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f206/2010-australia-day-pen-swap-110580/)
It is the first sticky at the top of the list of threads.
Please let me know if you have any problems.
