Mike, if I understand you correctly just do what you did here.

Click on the Forums button at the top of the page you are on. Choose the appropriate forum for your question and/or new thread you wish to start and click on it. When that forum appears on the page, you will see a New Thread button above the existing posts. Click on it, and then ask away.
